Art is the most beautiful thing in this life and the reason for that, is if you are a true artist, someone who creates, who sees the world in different ways, you not only practice your craft but you LIVE it. It is a part of you. No mater your skill level or what you do or how you'd label the type of artist you at from hobby to pro, art is going to be a part of you if you truly have a passion for the craft just because you love what you do.

I learn knew things, notice new things everyday and all because I'm an artist. Some days I find myself looking at a sunset (the most beautiful time of day in my opinion) and I find myself looking at the contrast and value of the clouds and the colors, and I like to think that every sunset is a painting of an artist in heaven because I find the plethora of ideas and beauty that seems so handcrafted. I find that water and the dancing flickers of light captivate me as I work out how to creat such beauty with a pencil. The shadows across someone's face, the way the light filters through space, the differences between bodies from shoulders down to ankles. Everyday you learn more and pay more attention to your world, and not only do you find the beauty of the world to recreate in what your mind sees as beautiful, ugly, happy, or sad, much more, not only do you see the world as an artist, but you notice it more intimately too as a person. And that, right there, is why I love art, I LOVE what I do with pencils and paper and how someone's eyes can tell the story, and how layers of different colors shapes and it's clues come together to create a work of art that you hold dear.

Art is a pure and messy practice, it is a hard thing to master, and trust me when I say that it sucks sometimes to see your art next to someone else. I deal with that. My art is ok, to be honest, but I'm happy too because I learn more every time I sketch and draw. But I love love love this thing that I can do because it doesn't have to be for others, it can be just for me. Nothing else I've ever done makes me feel that way.
